A realistic, conservative checklist

You can do a visual check of accessible plumbing areas without tools. This isn't exhaustive, but it's a good habit.

Check regularly

• Look for dampness or stains under sinks.
• Check supply lines at fixtures for bulging or wear.
• Listen for running water when nothing is in use.
• Inspect visible pipes for corrosion or mineral buildup.
• Confirm your water heater area is dry and clear.

If you notice anything, note it and share it when you request service. Early attention is easier than a repair after damage.
